Manchester Metropolitan University’s art gallery went under a rebranding challenge through University students to reflect its mission of empowering artists and pushing creative boundaries. As a platform for nurturing talent and promoting art and artists, this submission of identity embodies adaptability, modernity, and dynamism—perfectly aligning with the gallery’s forward-thinking ethos.

The Challenge
The gallery’s previous identity lacked flexibility and felt outdated across digital and physical platforms. A fresh, innovative design was needed—one that could evolve with the times and maintain relevance while emphasising the gallery’s role in fostering artistic growth.

The Solution
The new identity is built around the concept of a frame, pavement block, and dynamism, which together form a versatile “P.” This design transforms with each adaptation, symbolising creativity and progress. Rooted in modern aesthetics and flexibility, the identity seamlessly integrates across platforms while representing the gallery as a space for innovation and opportunity.
