Challenge
The emotional essence of rail journeys—the transition from quiet hills to bustling cities and calming coastlines—often gets buried beneath practicality. The aim was to reconnect people to the feeling of the ride.
Solution
Using dynamic typography as a storytelling tool, the motion design mimics the train’s journey—gliding up hills, weaving through urban grids, and flowing along the shoreline. Each letter becomes part of the landscape, shifting and adapting to reflect terrain and tempo. The result is a visually rich, modern tribute that brings the poetry of British rail to life—one type-led transition at a time.
